I heard about watercolor multiple times before I stumbled upon Yasmina's classes on Skillshare. It was through Yasmina's classes on How to Draw Cuties that I finally got started with watercolor. As a beginner, I highly recommend Yasmina's classes. Her classes are straightforward, fun, and easy to follow along.
Yasmina's Watercolor Classes
My first watercolor class from Yasmina is the “Anyone Can Watercolor: The Basics for Creating Magical Pieces”.
As a beginner, you don't have to buy a ton of supplies to get started. Start with the minimal. Even with the minimal colors, you can mix them and create your desired colors 😀 The three key supplies you will need are watercolor paper, watercolor palette and a brush.
I don't have the following paint but I have seen a lot of watercolor artists using it. It is also the most affordable one I could find (at the time of this post).
I LOVE these brushes! They are so easy to use and really cool! They store water in the little barrel. I am still in the process of learning how to control my pressure when squeezing the water haha.
